Example calculation

304 plate, 3 mm thickness, 1500 mm width, 3 m length, 10 sheets.

Theoretical result: about 35.685 kg/m, 107.055 kg per sheet and 1070.55 kg total.
FAQ

Stainless steel plate weight calculator FAQ

Is this calculator for sheet and plate?

Yes. Use it for rectangular stainless steel sheet or plate when thickness, width and length are known.

Why can actual plate weight differ from the result?

Actual weight can vary because of thickness tolerance, cutting loss, surface route and production variation.

Can I calculate 2205 or 2507 duplex stainless steel plate weight?

Yes. Choose the 2205 / S31803 / S32205 or 2507 / S32750 density option. The result is theoretical weight based on nominal density, not final shipment weight.

What unit should I use for the dimensions?

Use millimeters for thickness and width, and meters for length.

Can I use this result for a quotation request?

Yes, as a first estimate. Also send grade, thickness, width, length, quantity, surface and destination.

Need a plate quote after checking the weight?

Send the grade, thickness, width, length, quantity, surface and destination. We can review supply path and export support.
